Questions
Does it work with the Zoom and Teams apps?
Open the meeting in Chrome and press Record. Both Zoom and Teams let you join from the browser. Support for the installed apps comes later.
How fast is the text ready?
Videos with captions are ready in seconds. Calls and files are usually ready a minute or two after you stop, a little longer for very long recordings.
Which languages does it understand?
11 languages, including English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi and Arabic. The language is detected for you, and the summary can be written in any of them.
Which browsers?
Chrome, on Windows and on Mac. Other browsers built on Chrome, such as Brave and Opera, will be added after testing.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Open transcribelab.pro in your phone's browser and sign in. Upload an audio or video file and get the text and a summary. Read, search and share all your transcripts and ask questions about them, including the calls you recorded on your computer.
Recording a call needs a computer with Chrome. A phone does not let one app record a call in another app, such as the Zoom, Teams or Google Meet app.
Do I need to tell people I am recording?
Yes. Before your first recording TranscribeLab explains the rules, and during a call you can copy a ready message into the chat.
What happens to my audio?
It is turned into text and then deleted. Your text stays in your account until you delete it. We never use it to train AI.
